Military boxes that conform to ASTM D5118 are made using V3C or W5C fiberboard that is weather-resistant, providing even greater protection for items during transportation and storage. Weather-resistant fiberboard is made by treating the paper fibers with a water-resistant coating that helps to repel moisture and protect the contents of the box from water damage.
This specification replaces the PPP-B-636 specification
